Welcome to Mr. Wevodau's Wiki Page.

New Project:

Nineteenth Century American Author

From the list below, create a Wiki-page detailing the life and work of a famous Nineteenth-Century American author. Use visuals to augment your presentation. You are permitted to copy and paste information PROVIDED that full source citations are provided.

Include appropriate links to other websites as well as the author's writings.

Your group must select ONE short work by the author that all of your classmates must read. Choose carefully. Include a link to the work on your Wiki-page.

Suggestions: The author's life in images. Hyperlinks to later parts of the webpage (like a Table of Contents). Sections devoted to particular aspects of the person's life. Overviews of a few major works. Links to trusted websites and copies of the author's books. (Remember Google Books?)

Scoring will be done by your peers in other classes. Your page must not contain ANY reference to you and your group members. The page title will simply be your chosen author. (An author may only be used once per class period.)

Available authors:

Herman Melville

Nathaniel Hawthorne

Ralph Waldo Emerson

Henry David Thoreau

Emily Dickinson

Walt Whitman

Stephen Crane

Harriet Beecher Stowe

GROUP EXPECTATIONS:

One grade. A single effort. Be sure to use spellcheck. All group members are responsible for each sentence. There should be NO spelling errors and NO grammatical errors.

All copied content should be correctly cited. Use online programs to create full citations that are clearly set next to the presented content.

I would expect that page to be essentially done 24 hours BEFORE  the due date, allowing sufficient time to proofread and edit.
